Hi there!
Although you may know us as friends or family members (or just really cool kids), the eight of us that form Block Party are also students enrolled in George Brown's Sport and Event Marketing program. We're all highly dedicated to this event, and are beyond excited to share it with you.

Our main goal for this event is to bring awareness to the You Can Play Project. The You Can Play Project is a social campaign that is dedicated to eliminating LGTBQ+ inequality in sport. When choosing an organization for our nonprofit tournament, You Can Play was our top choice. We wanted to be involved in this movement without a doubt in our minds.
The members of You Can Play work hard to educate people about the inequality that happens on and off the field in sports. By hosting this event, we are hoping to help them in their mission of creating equal and safe opportunities for ALL athletes.
Currently, You Can Play is partnered with the NHL, MLS, CFL, Canadian Olympic Committee and many more professional sports leagues/teams. Learn more about them below:
